The Prevention Summit is our region’s premiere annual outreach event of the year. Typical attendance includes 200 local and regional stakeholders including elected state, county and local officials; school superintendents; principals; school nurses; teachers; social services providers; guidance counselors; pediatricians and other healthcare professionals; university administrators; judges; police chiefs and other law enforcement; clergy; members of the business community; parents; and youth. Last year we exceeded the room capacity of a very large banquet room at Plymouth State University and we hope to do so again!
Each year the Prevention Summit offers compelling speakers on subjects that are critical to the protection of children and community.
The purpose of the Summit is to provide information and inspiration to all core sectors of the region who serve as partners in prevention and to recognize outstanding community leadership with four awards: the John W. True Award for Excellence in Commitment to Youth; the Carole J. Estes Community Leader Award; the CADY Community Partner Award; and the Youth Leadership Award.
